I drank the silence of God from a spring in the woods - Georg Trakl
Little Red Riding Hood, Hansel and Gretel , and other folktales, fables, and stories introduced many of us to woodlands, as fascinating, if mysterious place to explore.
I like woodland gardens. Unlike other garden styles, -this one, is not about lines, color themes, or particular blooming times.
Woodland gardens are about sophistication through simplicity.
A piece of ecosystem, and a fine balance between air, water, Sun, fauna, and flora. Woodland, are the most perfect, and complete gardens, one can enjoy.
Whether you like observing Nature, or enjoy a piece of outdoor privacy to slow down, and meditate, woodland garden makes perfectly captivating setting, any day, any season.
Woodland style gardens can be created in existing growths, or from the scratch. They can be big, or small. Maintenance wise, these will require a little tender loving care, rather than massive amounts of labor. If you can, consider creating your own woodland garden, this season.
