Well drained, neutral to mildly acidic soils. Partial or full shade.

Propagation - By cuttings, by division.
Other
Deliciously aromatic; Sweetshrub's attractive bloom
comes in various shades of raspberry red to Burgundy red. For white blooms try Calycanthus x 'Venus'
