Cultivation - Sun, moist soils. Cut back every few years.
Propagation - From seeds, or by tip cuttings.
Other - Supplies food to bees, waterfowl, finches, cardinals, and butterflies.
Makes good nesting place for birds. Bark and other parts are used in medicinal remedies.
