Origins - North America.
Type - Perennial (deciduous).

(1) 3 - 5,
(2) 2 - 7.
Bloom - Mid-Summer.
Height -
(1) Approx. 6 ft (2 m),
(2) Approx. 12 ft (4 m).
Cultivation -
Semi-shaded, riverbank, swamp, woodland positions in peat or other acidic to neutral soils, best.
Propagation - By cuttings; by layering, by seeds.
Other - Great looking (particularly in the Fall) foliage, and berry plant. Will attract bees, birds, and butterflies throughout the year.
Both (Lowbush, and Highbush) Cranberry berries are edible. Pick them ripe, and best, use to make jams, and jellies.
