Gardeners & Garden Lovers,

Welcome, to Town & Country Gardens!
March, our 3rd edition, is bigger, and more comprehensive, then ever.
Get ready with this month's gardening 'to do' list, now, and enjoy spectacular gardens, later, this season.
Relax with Town & Country Gardens' poetical selection, and try some new recipes, all very easy to make, and they taste great.
Read part 2, on how to create your own, organic kitchen garden.
Great, classic garden design options, to consider, are being discussed there. Stunning, yet practical, and feasible to implement, solutions. See, which one will suit your needs!
Our new, regular feature will cover topics on classic herbs, and best methods of their propagation. Involve your children, show them how easy it is to propagate these beautiful, and useful plants.
Rosemary's this months special. Read "Classic Herbs" section, and get busy with "Propagating Rosemary". We hope, that you will find these propagating basics, not just useful, but a great fun, too.
See other, new features, we've begun. "Gardeners of Distinction" is a new addition to the CONTENTS section. Right now, it is rather modest in size, but it will, with time, grow bigger, and be more informative.
The other, TCG's favorites, called Contributors' Directory, will be providing links to great projects, Town & Country Gardens' friends work on, - all fascinating, versatile, and yet, easy to find in one place, -our references in CONTENTS section!
Please, stay in touch, we would love to see your feedback!
Town & Country Gardens has recently been rewarded with a few "thumbs up" on stambleupon, - and we really do appreciate it.
Thank you, for your support!

Welcome to Town & Country Gardens, April

April happens to be quite a pivotal month.
The weather may still cause havoc with last frosts, flooding, and gusty winds, yet, seasonal change has unmistakably occurred, and the Snow Queen withdrew to her palace, for a while.
The Spring is here! Our April poetical selection, reflects this, rather well.
We've got Spring classic, by Percy Bysshe Shelley, and a contemporary, also great, poem by C. A. Potter, to enjoy.
See our regular features, such as in, and outdoor 'To Do'. Useful, and perhaps inspirational tips, are there, to be found, to apply in your own garden.
Basil's this month's classic herb covered in our Kitchen Garden series.
Informative, and useful? -we hope.
If you haven't grown Basil yet, you simply must try it now. It's easy, and incredibly rewarding. See, Propagate Basil section, for details.
There are new, Beautify Me, Please!, Consider This..., and Gardener's Sources... sections, for you to discover, too.
Last, yet not least; bigger than ever, What's Cooking selection, that drew inspiration from herbs and greens, we all love to grow.
If you like this issue, then why not get involved, even more? Share your nature, garden, and craft inspired works, and knowledge. See, Feedback below, for contact details. We would love to hear from you!
Till next month, we leave you with this thought:
"That God once loved a garden we learn in Holy writ.
And seeing gardens in the Spring I well can credit it."- Winifred Mary Letts
Thank you, for your support!

Welcome to Town & Country Gardens, July

"A summer's sun is worth the having." - - French Proverb
July; -sunny, and hot, certainly here, in our (middle) part of North Carolina. Decks, and porches are great to enjoy this month, particularly in the morning, but as the temperature gauge on our S.W. facing deck goes to three digits around midday, the best one can do then, is to retreat, indoors (we do). Yet, all this heat, and Sun does wonders, to our veggie crop. Tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, zucchini, peppers, and herbs, do seem to love it, and they produce. Our WHAT'S COOKING? section, this month, comes up with a few ideas on preserving garden harvest, all of them tried, again, and again. June, was the month dedicated to Mint, and we still continue this theme through July's poetry selection. MINT BITE, is a contemporary poem by ATEF AYADI, that begs to slow down, and reflect on one's inner feelings, and the fascinating world around.
See July's To Do section, - it is still a good time to plant for Summer, and Fall garden.
If you haven't tried this yet, perhaps you'll get encouraged by our feature on Bottle Trees; easy to make, and add a little sparkle to your garden!
Check our Flora Now, section. Succulents, roses, and other great to enjoy this time of the year plants can all be found, and described in more detail, there.
Town & Country Gardens' got new follower!-WELCOME TO THE CLUB, ALISON!
I would also like to pass a message from NGAWANGCHODRON, our contributor. Some of you may have seen it, but if not, please, devote a few minutes to view a most fascinating movie by YANN ARTHUS-BERTRAND, pioneer photographer of aerial images of our beautiful planet. Stunning photography, and meaningful observations are compiled into his HOME movie, there. Free to watch, and free to reflect on the subject of our biggest garden, our planet Earth.
Till Next Month,
