Cosmos

Cosmos (Cosmos bipinnatus)
Other Names - Mexican Aster, Garden Cosmos
Origins - Mexico.
Type - Annual.
Hardiness (see References, below) - Will grow in most Summer gardens.
Bloom - Summer, Fall.
Height
Approx. 2 - 6 ft (60 - 183 cm).
Cultivation - Full Sun. Will tolerate poor, sandy soils. Does not need fertilizing.
Propagation - By seeds. Sow directly to the soil. At 75F germination will occur within 10 days.
Other - Beautiful lace like, foliage. Blooms come in delicate shades of creamy, pink, lavender purple, and orange colors. Great to grow as a cutting plant. Perfect choice plant to grow in poor soils with good Sun exposure.
